Tips for Japanese Students
First-hand advice from Japanese students on finding food and everyday essentials.
Grocery
Daily necessities and groceries are easily accessible. Premium supermarkets like Jaya Grocer and Village Grocer, located in Eco Botanic (a 5–10 minute drive), stock an impressive selection of imported Japanese ingredients, seasonings, snacks, and rice. For broader choices, shopping malls in Johor Bahru or Don Don Donki in Singapore are within easy reach.

Layers for air conditioning
While it is warm outdoors, indoor air conditioning in classrooms and study halls can be cold. Bringing light sweaters, cardigans, or zip-up hoodies are essential.
